Coolant Flushing and Repair

Flushing your car’s coolant is important and often overlooked. As you drive, your coolant slowly starts to build up debris and other outside contaminants that can get clogged and cause all kinds of problems. Changing the coolant out regularly is a necessity for maintaining a proper cooling system.

Whatever make and model you drive, whether it’s foreign or domestic, will receive expert service and care from Alliance Dyno and Auto Service’s certified technicians. Feel free to bring your vehicle in to have your cooling system inspected and your questions answered.

The Cooling System

The purpose of your cooling system is to keep your engine from overheating. A lot is going on under the hood that generates heat and the cooling system keeps the engine at a proper operating temperature.

How frequently should you check your coolant levels?

This can depend on a couple of factors like your make, model, year, location or driving conditions, and how aggressive you drive your car.

Many automakers suggest you change out your coolant every two years or 30,000-40,000 miles, whichever comes first. If you think your cooling system is due for a check-up then don’t hesitate to stop by one of Alliance Dyno and Auto Service’s four locations.

Cooling System Problems

You’ve flushed your coolant and refilled your system back up with new coolant and water but you’re still experiencing problems with your cooling system. If this is the case then you could have a leak somewhere. If you suspect this is the case then it is recommended to take care of the problem as soon as possible before serious damage is done.

The leak could be coming from:

  • The radiator
  • One of the hoses
  • The water pump
  • It could also be leaking from somewhere internally

If you think you’re experiencing a related problem then bring your car in to Keller’s twice voted Best of the Best in Auto Service.
